My Trip to Austria (2024)

Hi! My name is Carlmark and I am 9 years old. I play football at Acakoro Football Academy in Nairobi, Kenya. I want to tell you about the most amazing trip I ever had – we went to Austria!

It was my first time flying in an airplane. I sat next to my friend Helmut and we looked out the window the whole time - even though it was in the middle of the night. When we arrived in Austria, it was very hot - even warmer than Kenya. There were big mountains and green fields everywhere.

We stayed in a nice place with lots of food. My favorite food was schnitzel and apple juice - I also loved McDonalds. The people were very kind to us and always smiled when they saw us.

But the best part was the football fields. We played against many strong teams. Some were taller than us and had nice boots, but we were fast and played with our hearts. We passed the ball, we scored goals, and we celebrated together.

After the games, we also did fun things. We rode a gondola up the mountain, had ice cream and visited the cities. I will never forget about the day when we made sausages on a bonfire and then went swimming in a pool.

I learned that football is not just a game – it brings people together. I also saw that if I keep working hard, maybe one day I can play for a big team in Europe.

I will never forget this journey. Thank you to all the people who helped us go to Austria. You made my dream come true!
