The Acakoro Logo is inspired by the colors of the Kenyan flag

Acakoro’s story began more than ten years ago in Nairobi’s Korogocho slum, one of the toughest places to grow up in Kenya. Out of this challenging environment, a vision was born: to use football as a tool for education, empowerment, and social change. What started as a small initiative soon grew into a respected academy that has given hundreds of children the chance to combine their passion for football with access to quality schooling.

Over the years, Acakoro has become known for its holistic approach. Children who once had little hope found themselves in classrooms and on football pitches, learning discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Many of them went on to achieve remarkable success - not only in football but also in education and personal development. The Acakoro story is proof that talent, when matched with opportunity, can transform lives.

Today, Acakoro is ready for its next chapter. Soon, the Acakoro School and Residential Football Academy in Homa Bay County will open its doors. This will be the first residential football academy in Kenya, bringing together strong academics under the CBC curriculum, professional football training, and life skills development - all in one campus in the heart of Homa Bay County.

The new school will allow Acakoro to deepen its mission: to give children a fair chance at success, whether on the pitch, in the classroom, or in life. From Korogocho to Homa Bay, the journey has been one of resilience, vision, and belief in the power of education through sport.

⚽📚 Acakoro is not just an academy. It is a story of hope, growth, and the promise of a brighter future - soon to be written in Homa Bay.
